Free Website Status Checker
One click to see if a site is up. Status code, response time, server, content type, and TLS — all in one shot.
How it works
Paste a URL
We follow redirects and measure the time to the final response.
Probe TLS in parallel
For HTTPS URLs we also open a TLS connection to read the cert and surface its expiry.
Get a clean verdict
Up/down badge, status, time, server, content type, and SSL summary in one card.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as 'up'?+
We treat any HTTP status under 500 as up. 4xx means the server is responding but rejecting the request — still a live host.
Why is my site flagged as down when it's clearly working?+
We use a generic User-Agent. If your site blocks bot UAs or requires authentication, you'll see a 4xx/5xx even though humans can reach it.
Is this a real monitor?+
No. This is a one-shot check. For continuous monitoring, you want something that polls every minute, alerts on consecutive failures, and tracks SLO over time.
Does it check IPv4 and IPv6?+
We use whatever the default resolver hands us, which is usually IPv4 first. To explicitly test IPv6, use a tool that lets you pin the address family.
