How it works

02

We query all 7 record types in parallel

Frequently asked questions

Which DNS server is queried?+

We use Node's default resolver, which queries the recursive resolver configured on our edge nodes. For region-specific propagation checks, use our DNS Propagation Checker.

Why is the CNAME section sometimes empty?+

CNAME can only exist on a non-apex label. If you're querying the root of a zone (example.com), there will be no CNAME by spec. Try a subdomain like www.example.com.

Can I look up records for a private domain?+

No — we only query public DNS. Private/split-horizon zones aren't reachable from our resolver.

Do you store the queries?+

No. Lookups are stateless and not persisted on our side.
